How this all began...

Our family started this journey with a phone call. It was January 2012, a sunny Southern California day at our home in Temecula. Carl called a family friend who mentioned to him that a Children's Foundation he knew of was looking for someone to help with their orphanage in Haiti. I remember the look on Carl's face. I knew he wanted to do this, and so did I. We had both watched the devastating videos of the 2010 earthquake, aching for a way to help the people who had gone through such a tragic event. We made another phone call, set up a meeting with the director of Children's Heritage Foundation, and sat back to marvel at how much a life can change with one phone call. Please share our journey.
